There are many positives to our SKE chemistry course:
The flexibility that is built into our chemistry SKE course allows students to select from a wide range of material to put together a tailor made SKE course addressing gaps in their subject knowledge.
I am an experienced chemistry teacher and curriculum area leader at a grammar school in Kent.
I enjoy the challenge of explaining difficult concepts and I love the practical aspect of teaching chemistry. Over the years I have developed and collated many ideas for fun and interesting practical work that I share with SKE students following Eureka Online College’s chemistry subject knowledge enhancement programme.
I have authored chemistry resources and study programmes for teacher training providers and have experience as a school based mentor for a number of universities in the southeast, helping to support their PGCE students through initial teacher training.
This 20 week Chemistry SKE course provided by Eureka Online College has been a fantastic preparation for my PGCE course at Exeter University and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I did extensive research before starting and I was particularly impressed by Eureka’s flexibility to build a course specific to my needs including A’ Level Chemistry and a very personal approach with bi-weekly one to one tutorials with an experienced Chemistry teacher. The content of each unit of study included not only covering the chemistry syllabus but also chemistry pedagogy; how best to approach chemistry concepts in class and what the common misconceptions are. The course has far exceeded my expectations....
This course has been the most fantastic preparation for my ITT in September and I would whole heartedly recommend a Eureka Online College SKE to other students. Whilst there are still some gaps in my A’ Level knowledge which I will work on, I am now feel ready, confident and really excited to start on the next stage of my teaching career in September...
We have chemistry topics covering the full range of chemistry subjects taught at KS3, KS4 and KS5. A considerable amount of time has been taken by our head of chemistry to coordinate the writing of our material for the chemistry SKE course ensuring that no stone has been left unturned and that we really can deliver anything and everything that could be expected to be learned at a UK school.
Personal tutors are able to piece together the perfect chemistry SKE course from our comprehensive library of resources treating all of our students as individual learners.
Below is a list of titles from our most popular units of study. This is not a comprehensive range of topics that are available on our chemistry SKE course, just a fraction of what we have to offer. To arrange to speak to one of our SKE tutors, please email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org

A feature of the chemistry SKE course is that there is signposting to free simulations available online to teachers. By incorporate free teacher resources into the programme of study, SKE students begin to accumulate a repertoire of resources that can be used both during and after their ITT which follows.
To support this aspect of the chemistry SKE course, students are also encouraged to share within the discussion boards resources that they find through their research whilst studying a particular SKE unit of study.
Please see below an example of this signposting to a resource by Colorado University; and also a fun video that was shared on the forum, described as something sure to liven up a dull chemistry lesson! The chemistry forum is quite a vibrant community of learners, where lots of collaboration takes place and preITT students share resources. It has been described as an invaluable feature of the Eureka Online College course
